Delhi’s big battle in figures
As Delhi readies for the fiercely contested Assembly elections, here are a few details beyond the din of the campaigns that we bet you didn’t know! S Venkatraman captures them in an easy-to-grasp visual.
Much of the heat around Delhi’s elections has been over the contest between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), and perhaps even more, the respective chief ministerial candidates, allies-turned-foes, Kiran Bedi and Arvind Kejriwal.
But did you know that out of the 673 candidates fighting the Delhi elections, only 69 have been fielded by the BJP and 70 by the AAP? So which are the other parties in the fray?
And what is the composition of the electorate like?
